long time no game! so, how are we all? missed me? better have!! Ive been working like a slut, after some massive financial fuck ups of my dad..wanker..anyway thats why ive not been around..working with comps alllll day doesnt want to make me be on them at home!
anyway, i got an xbox and thats been satisfying my gaming urges. i come to you in seek of help, see it was my goal to surprise you all with a return to BF2! but its been harder than expected of course haha, so ill break it down, if we can get my issue sorted, ill be online to teabag zipr in a fucking second..

firstly..i lost the PLAY disc for my bf2...i tried installing it off the install disc and then finding a no cd crack, but to no avail.

so i did some research and downloaded an iso with all the install shit plus some built it in no cd crack..

installed, all good to go, game opens up, i put in my legit cd key blah blah..

.....my rig meets all system specs..but its running vista....am i fucked?

im not sure if bf2 works or what ever..

but after i installed my bootlegged version and put my key in..i can open it up, run it..i can go into single player and fight my little heart out with computer soldiers..but when i try to go into multi player instead, it tells me that i am missing nvidia display drivers click here to install (you can see it on the bf2 splash load) and they are fucking XP/2000 drivers...

if i try run multiplayer without the drivers, it just crashes...

help? teabag? kill?

ello, i have also instaled Vista, and BF2 works perfectly, only thing you have to do is install the new patches 1..2 1.3 en 1.4.... make sure you have enough memory, i have 2 GB kingston 800 Mhz, and a good graphic card i have the 7200GT card from NVidia.

also i have downloaded all the latest drivers for the geforce 9800 gt ...

*shrugs* still saying i need drivers for xp/2000

Hey Damage, long time no see you old minx you. My mate Night Finger up here has a PC running both Vista and also has a 9800 GT. I'll try and get him to come on and have a post. He may be able to shed some light on things for ya.

Just for the record I have only just stopped playing BF2...literally only a week ago (to make way for EVE online). But dont fret I still have it installed and will be on in a flash. I also have a TS server that I load up from time to time if ya interested. Details can be found in the 'TS' thread under Private section. Hope to see you on again soon damage for some T-bag practice.

PS: I'll have the TS server running tonight if ya on.

For the record, chances are...Trogs advice is likely to be better. but heres two things worth trying.

Download the drivers for XP...might work since its asking for 2000/XP drivers

Also try setting compatibility mode for BF2 to XP, then installing the drivers.

Thats my completely unprofessional opinion.
