Ok then, since posting my original post, I have devoted over 45 hours of online time to it and have found it thouroughly rewarding after certain server browser/PB kick/game crashes from time to time issues had been dealt with. It seams the typical EA game. Great when in game owning someone with a knife, or nade launcher, or sniper rifle, or tank, or pistol, or shotgun or whatever your favorite is, even if getting there in the first place took considerable patience. There are over 40 hand held weapons to choose from/unlock. not to mention a volly of different vehicles and specialisations. I'm seeing new and different ones every day.
BFBC2 vehicles and weaponsI know what ya mean Who when ya say it hasn't grabbed your imediate attention. I was the same after playing BF2 for so long. It all seams weird and different, but believe me, give it time, it WILL grow on you. Even if you give it time just to justify the money you have spent on it.
Since I started playing BF2 I have played a number of other online shooters (Enemy Territory Quake wars, Combat Arms, DoD, TF2, BF2142, Crysis, etc), and all the while I have been waiting for something new and exciting to devote my game time to. Although some of the games listed have been fun for a while, non of them have been able to hold my attention for any real length of time....till now.
There are just sooo many things to do on BFBC2. The entire environment, including buildings, tree, walls, and even to some extent the ground itself can be destroyed and altered. I was being 'weak' the other day and went hunting a particular sniper using a tank, I found his arse holed up in a house, as he was hiding in an interior room and difficult to get a clear shot at, i just shot the house a bunch of times and collapsed it on it....c'mon, what is there not to like
Like most games these days that involve the sniper/recon kit, to get a one shot kill, a head shot must be achieved, and fair enough. Though I have always had an issue with a M95 .50 cal taking 2 body shots to kill some one

I have discovered that when one unlocks the M95 (last recon gun unlock), and then combines it with 2 other specialisations being hardened munitions and extra heavy weighted munitions, a one shot body shot can happen if the target isn't wearing extra body armor (also an unlockable specialisation), as Duran, burnt and Alnitro can vouch for
Like I mentioned the other day, when one is able to join a game, your patients is rewarded....
You'll know where to find me for the next....well, a fair while anyway
